Lovely image and thank you - this is a timely reminder for me to spread all the German Shepherd fur I've been collecting all year so the birds can line their nests.

Superbly processed and cropped Sylvia, giving great space to this very sharp detailed capture. Always a bonus with food, but nesting or bedding elements are the icing on the cake.
Very well timed and captured

I've stuffed a whole lot of our German Shepherd's and Chihuahuas' fur into a fat ball container and hung it up near the bird feeder - its proving very popular now the birds have got used to it and saves the fur blowing all over the garden!

Superb capture of this fantastic little bird Sylvia. Its a fine composition and as sharp as a new pin, great eye catchlight. I have to say I was not quick enough to get this one. Very well done.

Have you tried big clothes pegs to hold the Chihuahuas on the line Sylvia. That way the birds will get a constant amount.
To all animal lovers this was a joke, tried it with Missy and she kept falling off the line.

HAHAHA! Love it Richard - contrary to Missy, my chis only need LITTLE clothes pegs - trouble is they keep eating the birds!! (again, to animal lovers - only a joke!) LOL

Beautiful shot Sylvia. The detail in the Nutty's feathers is second to none and the dark background shows the bird up to perfection. Great capture!

A super image beautiful detail and colour - as I no longer own German Shepherds (oh how I miss them!!) I collect fluff from the tumble dryer and put it in an old seed feeder and hang it on a spare hook on the feeding station quite a few different birds come to collect it - Elizabeth

Possibly a touch over-sharpened — see, for example, the speckly bits (technical term Wink ) on his shoulders — so I actually prefer the small version to the large, for this one. And I see he's gone vegetarian since your last upload!
