A Nuthatch (Sitta europaea) taken in the garden yesterday in late afternoon sunshine, against the red spring foliage of a Japanese Acer shrub (which still doesn't seem to be turning green!)

Quite a dramatic b/g tone but showing off the Nuthatch so effectively, Sylvia.
We bought a Japanese Acer a few days ago, popped in a large pot but it's dying off already.......don't know what I've done wrong.
