A wonderful capture........such colour and detail. Cannot fault the shot (as near perfect as makes no difference) but I am a little troubled by the foreground branch ?? which makes the tree stump appear to be floating. It's just a foible of mine to like firmly grounded images Wink

A gorgeous image, the squirrel has been brilliantly caught - but I'm not sure about the bar of blur at the bottom. Smile

Thank you so much John for your User Award - thrilled to receive it and very grateful Smile Thank you also everybody for your clicks and great comments. I am a fan of "mushy" foregrounds but for the benefit of those who are perhaps not so enthusiastic, I have uploaded a V2. Personally I think this makes the image unbalanced and too tight a crop, but we all see things differently and I really appreciate frank critique - thank you SmileSmile

What a beauty: the squirrel and photo both! I agree with the crop in V2 as the blurred FG was a wee bit distracting. Otherwise it's such a great tight comp with fantastic detail on the fur and stump.

Quite superb, Sylvia: prefer V 2 without the blurred 'item' at the foot of V 1.
Excellent work, the detail immaculate, exposure spot on, and subject well separated from the b/g.

Wonderful image Sylvia - Even though it's a tighter crop, I prefer V2 which takes out the blurred foreground.
