Just back from a very enjoyable weekend at Donna Nook with my wife Trish, and good friends Sylvia (Teocali), Ina (Gezina) and Graham(Gray-Ina) and this has to be one of my many favourites. The rugged and brutal mating between these pair of Grey Seals. I was trying to capture these great animals doing something this year rather than just laying there. Hopefully I succeeded with this full frame capture. Apologies for deleting the last image but on the sound advice of Brian (Bricurtis) it needed a little more contrast so back to the drawing board and here is the result.
Many thanks for the CC's on the last series upload of the Goldcrest.

Only just got in from footy, so couldn't tear the original upload to piecesWink

I would say, overall, that the subject matter, detail and D-O-F, are just about spot on RichardSmile

You had better have it, before I get tempted to give it to another couple of well deserving images

Reason? A true capture of nature in the raw

A very special true wildlife capture, Richard. Timed to perfection to illustrate a moment of tender interaction between these two lovely animals. Beautiful detail, skin textures and tones. Love the highlighting of the whiskers. A super weekend in great company and blessed with a whole day of sunshine!
