A Gannet caught in-flight seconds before it alighted on the windswept cliffs at Bempton, East Yorks. A very strong wind from off the sea might have created difficulties for this cliff-dweller but these guys are expert fliers. With feet down & tail up to act as buffers against the fierce tail-wind, the huge bird maneuvered itself into position & landed with ease.
