On a hot, sunny day (and I'm not complaining) following little photogenic flying things around the nature reserve can be very tiring, not to mention frustrating. Snails are a different matter entirely - you can follow them around at a snail's pace & they stay put until you've taken as many pictures as you want.
I know nothing about snails, so I've no idea what breed this one is - I just liked the contrast between his/her soft subtle tones and the bold blue of a Portaloo.
Thank you for your support of my previous feature, "Reed Warbler." It didn't quite make RC status but I thought it deserved to do so...
