Thank you for your C&Cs on my upload of June 26, "Beach Blackbirds."
My feature for tonight is a Grass Snake, one of several I encountered during a recent wander around my local nature reserve. I had to get down to its level to take the photographs I wanted. We were about three feet apart, eye to eye with each other for a few minutes & I was amazed that it allowed me to get that close without it slithering away. It constantly "tasted" the air with its flicking tongue, while its head moved only very slightly.
A wonderful experience to be so close to nature.
Toggle quickly between the two versions to see what I saw.
Both Large Versions display well.
