Walkers on a moonlit ridge early one spring evening. I was actually there for Jubilee fireworks but spotted this scene in the opposite direction! The moon was setting and I crossed my fingers the people wouldn't move away before it got low enough!

like the idea a lot, very spooky atmosphere and a great opportunity. must be a good crop though to get the size of the moon so large in frame
its a real shame there isnt a tiny bit more separation of the figures and horses from the land and onto the skyline, had there been this could have been fabulous.
maybe just a little but over cooking with the tones for me, but im sure thats to taste and its subjective.

Plenty to think about and to work on, in this potentially brilliant image.
Regards Nathan
I like it but as has already been said, perhaps just slightly overdone.
I reckon though, that with a few tweaks, there's a really excellent image in there. In fact, if you were to experiment, there's probably more than one.

Hi, my biggest doubt about this beautiful image is its format.
A square with the moon almost bang in the middle...
I think an oblong horizontal shape would suit it better,
a cropping of 2/7ths from the top, would be my only option left now.
I love the picture for its possibilities. It needs a crop from the top to just above the moon if we only have this to work from. At the taking stage I would have much preferred to see the sun 1/3 the way in from the right. Presently it is far too central on both planes.
But a super scene so I hope you took a few more that you can play with to end up with a much better shot.
Frank
I cropped it square because of clutter on the sides but wanted to retain the big sky effect. Thanks for the ideas though, I'll go back to it.
