brilliant work...i take it you were in the crowd??
Nope. They had us shooting from the mixing desk at the back of the arena, behind the crowd. ![]()
I take it you were there in an official capacity, or I wouldn't have expected you to get in with a "professional" camera (as the management like to call D-SLRs).
Excellent shot. Nice bit of movement with the green cloth.
I think I'd have liked to see a wider shot to get more of an idea of what she was doing.

Yes, I was there shooting for my agency. Photographers had to shoot from the mixing desk behind the crowd as Shakira entered the arena through the crowd.
I agree, a wider shot would've been nice, but as I was shooting from the same level as the crowd, this was about as wide as I could get without getting half a picture of camera phones being held aloft.

Lol, know that feeling. Modern compacts are as bad, especially since they stopped putting viewfinders on them (one reason I won't have one).
It used to be matches, then lighters, & usually for atmosphere during a balad. Shame you can't burn your fingers on a mobile. Maybe a few less would get held aloft. ![]()
