From a recent training walk for the 3 peaks.. This is from the climb up Snowdon, and I think it the peaks Mynydd Perfedd and Foel-Goch away in the distance.

As always, C&C's welcome

Looks more like Elidir Fawr to me taken from the Llanberis path - I used to live opposite Elidir Fawr at the top of Capel Goch road.

It is taken from somewhere near the bottom of the Llanberis path, looking at the timeline of the other photos, its still on the road section from the bottom just before you go through the wooden gate onto the track proper.

Just looked at the map, and Elidr Fawr is just in front of the two I named, so more than a fair chance you are right Smile

It looks as if it is taken just after the steep section of road at the bottom - just before you go through the gate and leave the road for the path. Elidir fawr is on the left and Y Garn is to the right.
If it was not so hazy, you would be able to see the vast Dinorwig slate quarries which is now a pump storage power station.

Spot on.. During the training walks, I have yet to see Snowdon under the same conditions twice. An awe inspiring place, even if this particular route up is a trudge.. The little pub/house/dwelling at the bottom is very welcome tho, and the proprietor is ace!
