Been inspired to go through sone old images of last year's Skye trip. Both my evening and early morning trips to the Quiraing were mist covered. The nearest I got to seeing the complete scene was the early morning trip. About 2 mins earlier I was stood talking to theman in the picture and we could not see 10 ft in front of us...then the sun threatened briefly to burn through and light up the area... off he went and I snapped him walking into the mist. Alas it didn't happen and my images have remained on the cutting floor so to speak. This is my 2nd attempt to work one from this morning... think I need to get back up there.

The title is Bob Marley inspired...someone I was lucky enough to see - back in 1976!

Great image Al, sounds like you were lucky to get this shot. Don't think I would have chanced walking off into that mist though, he could well have ended up like you did last year on the Beacon's.

Wonderful lighting Alan captured, by the look of it, at the perfect moment. A lovely composition made even better by the inclusion of the walker.

Superb image with the mist rolling in adding an extra quality and dimension to the shot, and with the inclusion of the figure with red lacket helps to add a sense of scale to the landscape.

Great image, so many interesting elements to it and finished off by the walker on his "Quest". Ive only managed to get up there once and needless to say it was raining but even then it is still majestic. great shot full of emotion.

I was last up there in 1976 - climbed up through mist, hit clear sky as we looked over the ridge. This captures the magic and loneliness of the place.

It looks like a beautiful place and some lovely colour. The figure works very well, though the image as a whole is processed a little more than I tend to prefer, especially the saturation of the blue in the top left area.
