I know compositionally this is awkward to the eye, but I kind of like it, maybe it would work better in B+W with the two rigid structures against the swell of the water and slight movement in the clouds…. Or maybe it doesn’t work at all……
The phallic like object to the left is called the Crowstone, this object marks the end ( or start) of the City of London’s authority over the river thames. There is one on the opposite side of the Thames off the coast of Sheppey

The various elements of the image are all very good indeed and the atmosphere is there but as you say the composition is a little awkward due to the lack of identifiable lead-through between those elements.
