A day out rather misley But I thought the red Umbrellas brightened the day . I changed the back pack to red as it was purple in PS.Straightened it up . Hope you like it .xx
We had just been into Nat West Bank & they were giving away these red Umbrellas so we took one each. I do love red too xx
I have now put up another one without the red border for Alister& any more who do not like my red border ?

When the world turns to drab grey, a red umbrella is a great subject!

I really like this Mavis, fancy a red umbrella myself. Your composition is excellent here.
Well seen and beautifully captured, Mavis, and nice work on the backpack too.
When I first looked at this, I thought that had the umbrellas had not been red, I'd have re-coloured them. But looking further I see you had the same idea with the backpack! If as you say, it was mauve, it would have clashed with the red brollies...
A great capture, Mavis, with the added bonus of the cyclists, nicely placed ![]()

The red umbrellas and red backpack definitely brighten up what would have been a drab scene otherwise![]()
Nice image and good editing, but I feel the frame used isn't helping the image. I think it takes away from the impact of the red-umbrellas, at least in my eyes it's constantly "telling me" to look at it, rather than at the picture. I think a less powerful frame or possibly no frame at all would have actually been a better option here.
As for the rest, I agree with the above posters. I like this.
