Apologies to members who commented and voted on this last night - I made a right pigs ear of adding variants - tried to delete one and accidentally lost the lot. Sad

Aahh, Brian, she's back Wink. A lovely capture, pin sharp, but have to say that I would rather the background weren't textured. Carol

No problem Carol - I appreciate your honest opinion - textures are not to everyone's liking - I don't think you will be alone on that.Smile

Fantastic detail, colours and clarity in this macro Brian, I don't mind the textured background at all it does not detract from what is a lovely image

I thought i'd seen this one or very similar yesterday, Brian: I too have deleted an image in error.......so frustrating.
But what a cracker it is, the detail immaculate and colours so natural. The b/g I find quite acceptable as it's fairly delicately applied. Excellent photography, and that's the important thing.

The ladybird is so light that it hardly bends the delicate dandelion seedhead.
Sometimes I like texture, sometimes I don't, but you obviously like it otherwise you wouldn't have put it in the background, and it doesn't detract from the image, so it's fine.

Pin sharp and I do like the background as it isn't obtrusive.

Superb macro capture, Brian. Pin sharp with terrific detail, natural textures and tones. Whilst I am a constant admirer of the background textures you sometimes introduce, I do find this one does overpower the fine detail of the main subject and perch and is not as subtle as some of the others you have used. The scale of the grain does tend to draw my eye. Just one persons opinion though Wink

That's fine Sylvia - always interested to hear peoples opinions - but I've got so many Ladybirds in my PF on plain bg's I thought I would try a textured one. Thanks for looking in.Smile
