The finally image was using the build in flash with my camera dead centre on 32 at 1/60 of a second.

Broadly OK with a good use of shadows. But an increase in contrast is needed. However that will also emphasise the digital artefacts in the picture. It is not altogether clear why these are present... it may have been as a result of reducing the size for upload.
