Taking many illustrations hand held I moved along the lines of the ship, during the TWILIGHT hours on the 5TH February 2012 as I was down with my friend exploring the sites and sounds of Hamilton Harbour..

Once back at my apartment I used PHOTO MERGE – PANORAMIC IMAGE with Adobe Photoshop Elements 7., so once this opened the application I did many techniques within the application with the second last step of resized to 600 pixels by ? then auto sharpened for upload to this GALLERY.

The ship is Hamilton Harbour because Sheila Copps, a former Minister in the Federal Government arranged for this to cost a lot of money from it’s home outside of Ontario Place to move to her hometown of Hamilton as this a former destroyer of the Royal Canadian Navy where it served during the Second World War and the Korean Police Action..

If the morning sun gets far enough round to light this side of the ship, it would be much better, otherwise, it's just a record shot of a ship which is a little dark.
Compositionally, you can't do much except I'd like a little more space in front than behind....and maybe HDR would help bring a little detail out of the hull, though shooting in better light would be preferable.

I agree with Sooty here, but meanwhile have lightened the hull for you and have uploaded the result as a mod. This is just shadows adjustment.

So thats where the Haida went!

Wasnt it possible to get a position whereby you could take a single shot of the ship, rather than multiples and photo merging?

I like it, - and agree re lifting a little shadow detail as in the mod.

We have thank S Copps of Hamilton-East for spending a lot of funds to take out of Ontario Place.

No as I was already touching a building and this with the 18 mm section and perhaps if I had a FISH EYE I could have done this.

Now I know the technique in capturing the full HAIDA I will go back when it's not just before night fall as it was an experience as I walked down with a friend.

I forgot to mention I appreciate your input in modification my take on the HAIDA the former Destroyer of the Royal Canadian Navy.

The only problem here is lighting which has placed the heavy shadow just where you didn't want it. could try some dodging, but, ideally you needed the sun in a different place.
