Well these are amazing colours and this is an intense and powerful image - but I would say have the courage of your convictions - if you have a skyskape as powerful as this why on earth (please excuse the phrase) anchor it with that meaningless slice of land. There is no detail there and all it does really is give the viewer a sense of orientation little else. It does however use up valuble pixels on darkness. POst a variant with little or no landscape - I dare you.

I agree with Robert except I think there might be a place for a mere sliver of land - my first thought from the thun]mbnail was also "why so much meaningless blackness?" Try leaving just a thin sliver of land so that the tree on the bottom right gives a sense of scale. I'd suggest cropping in just to lose the clump breaking the frame on the right as it's distracting and draws the eye out of the frame
