This is my second experiment with PhotoShop, of statues at Barcelona Cathedral.
I cropped, used curves and colour balance.
Again, all comments/suggestions most gratefully received.
I love the Subirachs statuary at the Sagrada Familia (which is the name of the church). The Cathedral in Barcelona is in the Barri Gotic in the town centre.
Good shot I love the place.
Thanks very much for your comment, and for the info.
I'm surprised this hasn't received more comments - I like the composition on this (the cropping definitely helps) and I like the muted colours and detail.
The original was quite larger in area, with more statues dotted around, but I preferred this crop.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
love the angle, aren't they beautiful? click (*:*)
I like the crop and angle. Good shot!
Thanks Magda and Jeremie!
Note to self: I must pop in next time I'm in York!
Like this a lot Tracey. The toning's great and the crop makes it an interesting shot. I wonder if you have two photos in here .. there's another crop just of faces and chests - just where the end of that vertical shoulder line is - which would put the focus just on the faces .. but it is your shot! clickyclicky
As Magda says: great angle and Suzi: another pic there. But love this shot - textures/lines/light
Thanks Suzi and Mark for your comments.
Suzi, great idea about the alternative crop, thanks. I'll try that now!
Suzi, thanks again for your suggestion.
I tried it, but it looks too noisy, as I had to zoom in a fair bit on the original photo.
Never mind, back to the drawing board!
If cropping and altering the coour balance put a photo in the digitally manipulated section then most of the pictures on the site belong in there.
I thought it looked familiar from the thumbnail. I was there earlier this year.
I ws on a Stag do so no photos though
LOL Nick! Bet you had a wild time! Fab place.
True about the manipulation point - I just felt that since it wasn't the "original" image, I needed to categories it as such.
Thanks for dropping by!
Next time I'll spell check before posting as well (I wasn't drunk honest)
Great image Tracey! did you take any photos when you went to Peru :o)
Yeah, hundreds! Just not had time to go through them all yet - will upload some soon though. Fantastic place!
