I like version 1 best. I think the colour background of version 2 detracts from a super main subject.

V1 is fabulous. I find the background in V2 a bit distracting, maybe if the whole image was in mono?

V1 works well - not sure about the blue mod, but its a fabulous image - I don't think it needs the background of v2. You've caught the mood so well here.
