Many thanks for all your comments.

They're probably only moving at about 10mph or so. I just set the exposure to 1/10s as that appeared to give a good impression of movement.

It was a bit of fun at panning before going to Silverstone in 2 weeks, where keeping up with the action will be a bit more difficult!
