Well i thought for a change i would go back to my routes and do a sports shot, this was shot during winter light of a speedway rider practicing on the beach. the usual lens 200 f2 with a 2 times converter added on the D300 giving me the eqv of a 600 f4 lens to keep safely out of the way.
Dont expect this to do well but sometimes you need a challenge to keep you going.

Great shot. I wonder if more of the silhouette might of enhanced it further as it looks as sharp as the bike and rider. I guess that might have been at the expense of the sand and spray. Anyway, a cracking photo. Chris

as soon as i spotted this i just had to look , shame the wheels are frozen , then i see it was your shot tony thought you would have done some photoshop on the wheels . still a good shot though, if people see its yours it will do well.

Hi Colin

I wanted to get the sand and spray sharp so its a bit of catch 22 i dont mind it being sharp as it still shows off the movement i think.

Thanks all for your comments.

This works well Tony, the sand and water spray give the feeling of power and movement. Well worked.

Tony, why did I write 'silhouette' when I meant reflection; apologies, another senior moment - good to see the photo doing so well. Chris
