Gotta build a home. These Bewick wrens are very secretive and mostly silent, so I was very lucky to find a newly nesting pair. Both sexes look alike.
When they do sing, it is very strong and assured. One did sing, but only once all morning long. The light was stark and the shadows black so out of four in flight shots there was not one keeper. These Berwick come and go at a quick pace compared to other birds. Hard working rascals. TG

Thanks for the support, however I must admit this is technically faulty to be honest. The area behind this abandoned barn is closed in under a dark tree canopy and light consists of flashlight beams moving around in the wind. Thus the shadow on Bewick's back was given a false green look. He is in fact all brown and grey / white. Top of the head is his true colour. His work is interesting though. TG
