Hi everyone and it's been a couple weeks since i've been on. Still getting use to the new epz plus pc problems! Was at my cousin Di's wedding this weekend in N.J. so tried my hand at some candids. This is my Uncle from Canada who was down with his wife and boys for the weekend and he is always a willing participant and has that certain look about him oh yeau and a very cool uncle to boot with a great family so hope he doesn't mind the post! Family functions to me are a great enviorment for candids which was fun to experiment! Cropped and converted to b&w! will catch up tonight! while viewing hold scroll w/mouse and move up and down slightly and watch what happens to the jacket, a little optical illusion for the eyes because of the material!

Enjoy!

stay well

Hi Tony...Sounds as if you had a great time at the wedding.
A fantastic candid shot of your uncle, definately got that certain stare about him.
No one is going to upset him are theyWink
The optical illusion off the jacket is awesome, & I love that little bit of whisker on his chin.
A great shot.

Thanks for the comment Tony.

This is an excellent portrait - very expressive. When I saw the thumbnail view, I thought he looked like a Russian Classical Composer for some reason. There is a slight similarity with Dmitri Shostakovich I think.

Candid shots are always difficult, but you've captured so much in this superb image. A quality shot.
