Today a change from butterflies & dragonflies. Here is Stictoleptura rubra, one of our many long horn species.
This was taken on Saturday whilst out butterfly hunting in the big wood. I am very fortunate having this site, I had been looking forward to getting to work in here with my new lens but like everybody else the weather has meant that I had to be patient.
This wood is very large and undisturbed and I fully expect at some time to come across Purple Emperors and if
I am really lucky perhaps Silver washed Fritillary.
Anyway enough of the rambling I'm off to make the most of this summer weather.
Thanks for dropping by.
