Fiji sunset 2

Fiji sunset 2Stunning sky, nicely exposed, stunning reflected colours in the sea. Just the work around the big rock bothers me. Maybe it is over sharpeninng, but I suspect it is a hard selection. The rock doesn't need so much detail, so maybe blend it in with the originally exposed rock. Composition - spot on.

As the city sleeps

As the city sleepsHi Kevin
I like the though of photographers working while everyone else is asleep.

Firstly this image needs a rotation - probably 1 or 2 degrees clockwise.

The composition could be improved by including the other side of the bridge. Maybe by composing more to the right or using a wider lens.

I like the crop, I think this works well. I am assuming this is a crop and not a panorama stitch?

Another way to improve the image would be to visit this spot on different nights with different weather. If you had a perfectly still night, the reflections of the lights would have been magical. On a windy night, a longer exposure (smaller aperture) would have produced a magical sky. The lights would also be a lot sharper with a smaller aperture.

As it is, it is still an interesting image that will grab attention and still has quite an interesting sky.
