The Tree Of Life

The Tree Of Life by CHRISB911

Quote: I like this lone tree, a fraction tight in the frame, a little bit more of the landscape would have been nice.

gary

I agree with Gary, a little more of the landscape but a nice shot just the same, well captured.

Gold II

Gold II by 213hardy

Nice shot, when I view it large and drop the shot down the screen losing a bit of the foreground it looks good like a pano shot. Great lighting, I agree with Dave the clouds make it.

I do like the mono for its mood and drama but I wouldn't be able to choose between the 2, they're both excellent shots.

Excellent shot Anne, one to be proud of.

Loch Ness from Dores

Nice shot John, I have a shot in my portfolio taken from the pub car park. I think the south shore is by far the better shore, less touristy.

Hi, well done using black and white, it works. I think less depth of field would have thrown the brickwork out of focus and made the subject stand out better.Wink

Nice shot, have you thought about cropping it to remove the foliage?

Wheal Betsy

Wheal Betsy by marktc

Its an old engine house called Wheal Betsy and is on the A386 on Dartmoor (SX 510812). It was actually an old lead and copper mine (but did also yeild arsenic and silver) that closed in 1877. There are old workings, spoil tips, dry channels and old shafts all around. You were lucky to get a shot at all with the weather we have been having recently, well done.
