About Me

Got my first camera around 9 years of age (Thanks, Dad!), and the latest 50 years later. Since that young age, on and off, been engrossed in photography (my first, very used, SLR kit I bought age 16). I have, at times, been able to complement my various jobs, as journalist, editor, editor-in-chief, illustrator, and so on) with my camera shots.

Around 2000 I started the latest camera spree, with a Pentax K-x, and a number of other Pentax (D)SLRs, then via NEX-5N, Nikon V1, and a D3200. That was followed by a D600, and a few new lenses (I try to keep a select number of lenses, selling off those that doesn't get used). Latest purchase is a V2, to be used with my AF-S 80-400 VR II N, an excellent lens for birding.
