Interesting photo. What were yo doing with Russian Troops AND why did they allow you to take their photo? Good shot nevertheless.

I was working as a Film Camera Assistant for Yorkshire Television and we were out there as guests of the Russian Army to film the commencement of their withdrawel from Afghanistan for a 'First Tuesday' documentary entitled "Afghantsi". I asked the tank crew (by sign language) if it was OK for me to climb on the front of their tank to get the shot as I wanted the perspective of the barrel sweeping through the frame.

The photo is all the better for the story behind it. I bet these men were glad to be leaving! Good shot. Chris

Hmm, yes. This was during my 'World Tour' period. Life is a little less hectic nowadays as I spend my working life shooting drama for network television - see www.bwcam.com .
