Green Woodpecker in the snow.

Thank you all for your votes, comments and clicks on the previous Crow upload...as always greatly appreciated.

I have just spent two days sat in a hide hoping for foxes, alas they never showed. However just when things were looking bleak and my fingers and toes were about to drop off, a ray of hope Smile

All the best
Dean

A cracking shot of this green woodpecker taken at ground level, the detail and colours in the plumage are immaculate and the snow makes the perfect setting

Everything comes to those who wait Dean - you must be absolutely chuffed, with the snow a real added bonus - it really sets off the wonderful colour and plumage!

Outstanding image! John Smile

The snow backdrop helps to show off the colours of this woodpecker very well: a fine image, the detail excellent.
