First of all I'd like to thank Charlotte for her User Award on my first upload from the Museum Of Science & Industry - I'm really chuffed! Smile
Many of the galleries in the museum feature interactive displays, including this in the newest of the galleries, a huge digital sculpture. By registering a bar-code card, visitors can watch their photos, travel back in time up the sculpture, view past faces and places linked to significant Manchester achievements. The bar-code card also activates a series of games and challenges, creating a log that can be viewed on a personal web page.

Techie stuff – see Exif
Single Raw image processed in Adobe Camera Raw, tweaked in Photomatix Pro and Elements 6

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

This is good Trevor, quite apart from the fascinating description you have managed a composition that makes sense of a very complex subject. The girl's portrait at the bottom 'grounds' the composition, the symmetry gives structure.

As sculptures go you can't get much more modern than this......these interactive items always attract many, esp. youngsters: you have captured the display so well given that the lighting here was possibly not the best to work with, Trev.

How amazing to have a sculpture made up of video screens and interactive. All the colours complement each other really well and all the videos have been well exposed.

I think I understand barcodes but I'm not sure about those little square shapes you seem to see everywhere these days. You've done well to capture all this detail, Trev.
