Another from the archives, taken at a 1940s weekend in Haworth. For those who don't know, there was a TV sitcom series back in the 60s & 70s called Dad's Army, based on the Home Guard. A character in the series called Private Pike would often say "Don't panic Captain Mainwaring", and the chap here on the right happened to look remarkably like him.
Though the subject suits mono, thought I'd give it the colour-popping treatment, but with a twist, having the background in colour rather than the subject.
Correction: ...it was corporal Jones played by Clive Dunn who used to say don't panic...
Thanks Trev (achieverswales)!

A very well composed candid from the event, Trev, and the 'reverse colour-popping' was a clever idea to have and in m opinion has worked so well.
Very well done.
Ronnie.

Love the use of colour popping Trev, we still watch this program on Gold, you are wrong about private Pike though! It was corporal Jones played by Clive Dunn who used to say don't panic and also they do not like it up them was another of his.

Regards

Trev.

My first thought when I looked at the thumbnail was 'Dad's Army'. Do like the way you have processed this shot, great effect. Moira

An unusual way of selective colouring but very effective in this instance. IU love the looks on their faces.

Great shot Trevor, this one stood out in the thumbnails.
I would never have thought of a reverse colour pop.

Splendid work,Trev. Here on the Severn Valley Railway we have two 1940's weekends in the summer. They provide wonderful photo opportunities.
Ken
