First of all, I'd like to thank Barbarba Hirst, CarolG and Pluckyfilly (Ann Collins) for their User Awards on my previous upload Spanish Steps Panorama. It's nice just to get one UA, but to receive three, well, I'm really chuffed! ![]()
The last one from this location, at the foot of the Spanish Steps is the Fontana della Barcaccia, which dates to 1629, and literally is the 'Fountain of the Rotten (or Worthless) Boat'. Its name derives from the centrepiece, a half-sunken boat with water spilling over its sides. There are stone platforms at each end reaching out to the 'boat' where you can access drinking water from where you can see it pouring out of the spouts; the man on the right having just filled his cup is enjoying a refreshing drink in the 31°C of midday sunshine!
I noticed on my previous upload, that against comments by Nathan (NDODS) it shows 'User Removed'. It seems from EPZ staff that he had sent a request to close his account. I know he hasn't been good in health for some time, but would like to wish him all the best and hope his health improves ![]()

I wholeheartedly hope all is OK with Nathan and have also seen the Forum post. If anyone hears from him I hope they pass on everyone's very best wishes.
Superb wide angle composition, the huge oval dish filling the foreground, the tiny figures milling around it, the eye led back towards the steps and the church presiding over the scene.

Exactly how I remember it, Trev, except I didn't have a 10mm in those days
Beautifully captured.

Stunning photography and process again Trev, the write up is very informative also. It is also 31°C in Wales but I think it is below zero.
Regards
Trev.
Excellent depiction of the available perspective, created and presented in your inimitable style. Thanks for bringing that delicious light into another grey and miserable English day.
Regards
Bill
May I echo your fine words about Nathan? I can't 'do' sympathy at all well (and I certainly go nowhere near the Forums) but I know that you speak for many on epz.
