Despite the grey dismal weather, it was a very enjoyable Christmas break on the Isle of Bute. All too soon it was all over, and here we are on the ferry just having left Rothesay, heading to Wemyss Bay on the mainland. The Glenburn Hotel where we stayed is the large building on the hillside to the right.

Somehow the glowing reflections make the grey water look even colder. Very atmospheric.

The end of another enjoyable and well-researched series. You have overcome the mostly flat light to produce a real character-study of the area from which we have all gained. Much appreciated - thank you!

Bill

The street lights on add that nice extra touch to this low light farewell to Bute, Trev. So glad you enjoyed your brief Christmas break up here.

Glad you enjoyed your break, despite the weather, and you still managed to get some good images to remember it by.

Never made it to Bute, unfortunately, buit these images from there have whetted my appetite again, Trev.
What a good image to end with - go out on a high note and always leave the audience wanting more - the reflected street lights really make this extra good.
