One of our two coach trips out over Christmas took us back to the mainland, where we crossed the Kyle of Bute from Rhubodach near the north end of Bute to Colintraive on the mainland, before continuing along the banks of Loch Riddon. The ferry ride, on the 'Loch Dunvegan', is reputed to be one of the shortest in Scotland still in operation. At about 480 yards across, it's only four minutes travelling time. This shot is taken looking across the Kyle from Rhubodach to Colintraive as we were waiting for the ferry.
Rather glad I'm not there at the moment as, according to the news, due to storms the whole of Bute had been without power for a couple of days ![]()

I suppose I should say Buteiful. Well composed shot
I believe they have had rougher seas, too, this last week!
Excellent comp. Trev.

Good composition Trevor with lovely tones on the hills beyond.
