Whilst on holiday in Rome earlier this year, visited the Vatican Museum, and the main staircase not only spirals down, but becomes smaller in diameter towards the bottom, offering this abstract image.

Nice image well taken, the people give it some sense of scale.

Great graphic image - well captured. I like the way the figures add interest and scale. Might be improved by darkening down the corners, particularly the bottom left to focos the eye on the main part of the composition. I'd also clone out the isolated bald(?) head bottom centre.

Nice image and good comp. I like people shots and the fact that they add a sense of scale is a bonus.

Great capture. I tried the same shot on a visit a couple of years ago but made a complete hash of it. Nice to see how it could have been done!

I thought I recognised this staircase. We went there a couple of years ago, before I got my SLR, just had my little compact at the time. I took a very similar shot to yours but mine came out very very dark. You have managed to capture all the detail beautifully. I'm going to have to go back and have another go. Tracey
