Well, apart from torrential rain on Thursday around teatime and a thunderstorm, had a super time in Rome
When I first visited there, I didn't have my wide-angle lens, so thought it would be great to be able to get the whole of the Trevi Fountain and the building behind it in one shot this time. But, it seems that whenever I return to a place, the powers that be decide to put scaffolding round places of interest, and here at the Trevi Fountain the left side of the building was covered in scaffolding and plastic sheeting
So, to lead with, here's a different angle on it, showing how confined the area is - and all the tourists. V2 was shot head-on showing the offending item!

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Two images which had me scanning like an ever awaiting Eagle, so much to see and take in. Both compositions certainly lend themselves to much cogitation and deliberation, simply two belters, which have been wonderfully crafted.

I think this is so much better than the standard head on stuff, Trev, captured in context, standing room only. The woman throwing the coin over her shoulder and the guy taking her photo sums up what it is all about nowadays.

Great image and thinking outside the box. Stunning sharpness and people's interest, Magic.
Just got back myself and stayed at the Trevi Hotel just up the street from the church. The scaffolding also seems to follow me around and I have a similar night shot to this which I will be uploading shortly. The thunderstorm you talk of caught us on the autostrade returning from Pompei - Small world.
As for your image I think it shows everthing this fountain now stands for from a unique POV as the usual fair is the head on shot which I am guilty of myself but now may upload another version I have lol. excellent presentation as its not easy with the crowds that we photographers are always part of of course and congrats on isolating the coin throwing girl having her photo taken.

The architecture really looks special Trev, Two terrific captures and fantastic detail, there is so much to look at![]()
V1 is my fave because of the "offending item" in V2 (isnt it annoying that they do this at the time of your visit
How rude
) But I do like the pov in V1 better anyway![]()
