Living Landscape

Thanks everyone for your valued votes and comments. A big special thank you to Robbo for the GE award and to Jason and Chris for your UA always appreciated.
It was a great evening with amazing light. The dark clouds and piercing sunlight produced a wide dynamic range which was hard to control on v2 otherwise this would have been my preferred pic too Alan.

Express Delivery by Nigeve1

Express Delivery

Excellent shot !!!. These birds are quick and I would be chuffed to have this in my pf............I am a newbie bird tog but tried the 3d tracking for the first time last week ( only had the camera two years ) on Gannets and wasn't impressed. On closer inspection at 100% the images were slightly soft compared to images taken on the 9 point af so I used this and the manual pre focus technique for best results.
I too would be interested in what others think about the 3d tracking, ......... I think it favours larger subjects in the viewfinder although it allowed me to shoot giving the impression that all was well and in focus but as I say, on the computer the images were soft !!
