I like this simplified version, the prints have even more impact like this. The proportion of sky and land are great as is the colour in the sky, it was a productive trip for you! Nice portrait format too ![]()
I was at Loch Morlich this morning after my night shift, attempting to keep my side of our little challenge... so when I get a chance to edit I will have some proper landscape format landscapes for your critical eye (not like the cheat one I posted of the river!) ![]()
Lovely contrast between the snow and dark clouds, with the prints giving a useful lead in.

Just to confirm that the challenge Alan, was for you to continue to take great portrait format shots and then do a landscape format of the same subject, my challenge is to do it the other way round.
This has been a great learning experience for me that has helped my technique and believe my eye has become even more sensitive to shapes and lines which has improved composition from my earlier attempts (see my pf).
