Love that FG interest, it's so close with so much impact, even the wee water drops are visible on the petals. Then the river leads you away into the distance and all that lovely mroning side lighting. Brilliant! Looks as though the distant hills may be suffering from lens diffraction at f/22 as they are softer, or else the DoF not quite enough due to the closeness of the FG... who cares when the snowdrops look soooo good and carry the image! Well done Smile

Thanks for your observation Alan, the purpose of this shot was to ensure sharpness of the snowdrops while letting everything else go out of focus ( differential focussing) i took several at F16 / F22 and after much pixel gazing chose this one as there was no discernable difference between them although there should have been according to the books. However i did contemplate on getting the whole scene sharp but the camera was pretty much square on to the subject and i would have to elevate slightly and point the camera down (focal plane) so that more would be in focus . On the whole i am quite pleased with this shot, (apart from the red leaf on the right ) although my back hasn't stopped complaining.
Trevor.

An excellent perspective and dynamic with the stream running through on the diagonal. With the light and saturated colour this a very good landscape.
