No, not our present Queen in a tutu .... the Dartford River Crossing - in portrait version this time .
After wandering around for a while I decided this was the best vantage point to wait out the sunset. Derek was over the hill!!
Iso 100, f22, 1/5 sec, tripod and remote, and a bit of garden tidying this time, Helen .
A fine composition and capture, Dave. Carol
Well composed and excellent light Dave.
Well chosen spot for the golden light falling on the flowers and rocks - excellent composition Dave
A fine piece of landscape photography enhanced by use of the wide angle lens.
good composition pov and the light just makes it special Dave fine work as always
Stunning Dave. Superb light, great fg detail and a winning composition. Think the portrait format is great.
A very well planned composition, interesting foreground which leads your eyes towards the bridge and into Kent it looks so much better from this angle than it does sitting in the traffic queues.............. (8o) for which I am going in about 10 minutes........... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!
Super composition Dave, love the foreground detail,
This is absolutely beautiful Dave !! Love the garden intro
I like the composition here!! The light is terrific with great foreground interest in this fine image!! I like it a lot!!
whoah!!! looks so good .
I can see why you carry tripod etc. just make for a better image all around.
A superb composition, Dave!
Colours and composition work really well
Had an eye on this since they started building it but never photographed it. your unique point of veiw inspires me so may get down there soon. like the depth of this. Si.
nice comp well taken..
I admit, Dave, this angle of shooting I like a little more!
Another great display of modern architecture and the light was perfect!
You make it look so attractive.
Spectacular golden light (a true golden gate..!), you've almost got a sepia foreground! The light is lovely and the portrait format works better with the bridge to my eye. I think the FG is very dominant compared to the sky and the 50:50 split might have been better balanced as thirds (2/3 sky, 1/3 land) but never the less, this is really striking and beautiful and definitely worth the trip!
The foreground interest is very well positioned in the frame and you have some great colour on the horizon.
Good fg interest - love the colour.
Wow, this is one classy image, great foreground interest, great depth, wonderful light.
Well balanced as usual. Foreground adds to the beauty,
Nicely done but I prefer the landscape version. It gives a better idea of scale
Super light, clarity and compo, Dave. I love it.
Great composition Dave - the curve of the foreground echoing in the curves of the bridge.
Lovely light in this one also.
Composed with perfection Dave beautiful light also.
Everything about this image is spot on dave love it
Well lit and coloured Dave.
And I think a pic of our Queen in a tutu,
would be rarer than a pic of hens teeth with gold fillings !!
Another stunning capture of the bridge, Dave, and think I prefer the warmer evening colours of this version
Great light on this image.
Quite striking! I like the rough, green rocks in the foreground, sets the elegant bridge off nicely.
Lovely composed and processed image. Beautiful light.......Sandy

Superb capture, great light....well done
Very nice comp Dave. I like the vegetation in the foreground. Breaks up the rocks.
Superb image with superb colours! --- Jukka.
Worth waiting for the sun to set Dave.
Excellent Composition & fantastic light.
Another excellent view of this very elegant bridge, well at least from this angle! Lovely composition and good lighting make this a super image! Well done!
Absolutely superb Dave. If I had another UA I would have given it to you. Moira
A super image, well captured
Magnificent capture Fave, nothing much to add to what's already been said. Marvellous.
Dave -- I do like this POV better. Also -- this light is perfect.
Ooo...not just the angle and position but I also prefer the light and colour in this one, Dave.
Now if only I could get that tutu image out of my head. She's actually dancing to "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies" in my vision...with the Corgis looking on!
This one has the benefit of the golden light.
light and comp is superb Dave, cracking shot, i do like to follow the bridge right to the horizon.
A great image with lovely light
Pin sharp and crisp
A fine composition, love the light
I think you chose an excellent spot Dave - you've got all that wonderful warm light on the bank and the bridge.
Super light, detail and textures in this well composed image, Dave.
Quote: ...and a bit of garden tidying this time
So the bridge wasn't visible until you got to work with the strimmer, you mean?
Great POV, light & composition, but not a bridge too far...
Absolute superb use of light well composed and captured - Elizabethxx
You have caught the light perfect Dave a stunning image.
It is indeed a great spot
wonderful brown ale coloured light. and a cracker of a composition. shame the tiny format blows out so much detail. been thinking about your Exif.. now the white balance should include some slippery rocks, imagine you balance there dressed in bowling white and slip
superb Dave---i don`t say that often !
Love this shot, I wouldn't have guessed that it is the Dartford river crossing.
Wonderful light a stunning image Dave..Lin
Fantastic light on the fg rocks. This one for me is the better of the two
Another superb image, Dave, super composition, the portrait format works well, the foreground detail leads you nicely into the image, luv the subtle range of colours.
wonderful capture you have some wonderful images since I have been away .
excellent light and composition, well done on your awards.
Excellent composition, light and great verticals, i like this one alot, using the flowers as a lead in, looks as though some twigs fell out of your basket though whilst gardening. It appears pin sharp at F22 with no sign of the diffraction police i don't think Alan noticed either.
Beautiful composition and light Dave.
Outstanding result. A
Great colours with a magic foreground. Well done Dave.
How do you manage to always make bridges look so beautiful, Dave? Excellent light and I really like the pov ... Carol
Great angle of composition of the bridge Dave, and the foreground interest added. Well worth the wait for the soft evening light. James
Super color Scenic Image rendition ~
Beautiful image Dave with amazing subject and light...
Equally as impressive in portrait format, the wonderful golden light makes this one
