beamish railway!!!!An interesting scene and composition although I feel the mid tones in levels could do with a tweek to the right and a slight crop off the sky, hope that does not offend Smile Geoff.

7th JuneA lovely capture of this monument Mario, we are all different how we like to see an image, I feel it is a little under exposed and I find the chap walking into the image a distraction, some might say it adds to the image ! The monument is the focul point and this is where you want your audience to look, have tried a mod cloning out the chap, increased the exposure, darkened the edges to keep you in the middle, sharpened and increased colour a little Smile Geoff.

Granada over looking the wonderful seaLike the view and crop to this image, I feel the image is a little flat ! you could take back into PS go to levels and bring the sliders in on both sides, also increase the colour saturation by about 10% gives the image a little more punch ( hope I dont offend) Geoff.

Reach for the SkyFirstly thanks for your comment on Hannah, think she will be chuffed, like this image, you have captured the light well in the flower head, nice detail in the plant and a good DOF (only to say what I see ) ! I may have cloned the two top orange heads out, they tend to draw the eye a little (sorry).....Geoff.

BeeA good attempt at macro with some nice detail, I think you could have moved in a little closer, I would be inclined to crop above the subject and to the left..portrait..the dead head to the left draws the eye, you dont need all the clutter to the left, hope I dont offend Smile Geoff.

KingfisherI think the branch overpowers the kingfisher in size and would perhaps look even nicer cropped as the bird is nice and sharp, still good though. Smile Geoff.

Langdale reflectionsLooks a beautiful venue, hazy conditions dont help..it makes the image a little flat, If you alter the exposure, brightness and contrast then saturate the colour it will improve the image, (have had a play)..

TENERIFE - Sky on fire!!!I like the composition..but I feel the image is a little flat, I would imagine the day was hazy which does not help, I have tried a mod where i have altered the exposure and contrast, selected the sky and increased saturation, then selected the rest and applied the same..SmileGeoff.

AlfieI think this is a cracking image, pin sharp and lovely detail, the dogs expression is well captured...my only critique would be the right ear is cut off a little, not sure if you have cropped this way or as captured..its always worth remembering to have a look around the view finder before clicking to make sure everthing is in the image that you require (you can always crop after)...well done.

Water water everywhere...Not sure if this works ! the walkway seems to cut the image in half, it would perhaps have been a better shot if it was at an angle...I would also be tempted to flip the image horizontally so the people were walking into the picture, (hope I dont offend)

Smile!A great fun image, good colour and exposure..only my opinion..I think the image would look better cropped to portrait (not landscape) it would do away with some of the background, or as you are using a Digital Camera try taking the shot with camera held the other way, have a good look through the view finder at what else is in the picture and decide if you want it there, good work.

Red SquirrelMembers please dont have a go at me ! I tend to look at an image for a couple of minutes, read the intro then the comments, then say what I see.
This is a very good capture, composition as it is, is quite good, the deatail and sharpness is excellent...its a shame that the light behind the squirrel tends to blend in with its tail and a little detail is lost, perhaps moving to the right a little would have helped...but there again the squirrel may have scarpered. Still good though.

Conwy Castle & HarbourHi Phil, I think I must agree with Joan, although the quality in this image is crisp with good colour...the title seems a little remote with the foreground, perhaps a little closer with this new piece of glass would have more impact and show a lot more detail...

Tree fairyI like this image, what I call a fun shot, I think I would have cropped a little more tighter (less green)..with the position of the sun a fill in flash would take away some of the shadows. When you take a photograph like this take 2 or 3 shots ie; lower camera angle (always be careful with the sky) and try the fill in flash..good work.

Up the ClydeHi Neil, I think this composition is a little better then yesterdays upload...everything is here but this image is lacking in oomph ! the detail in the sky is flat, I think you could have got a little more detail out in this image..either in PS or with a filter on the front of the camera. Myself this type of landscape needs a sunset filter to bring out more colour in the image. (this is only my opinion) your next upload put it up for modification Smile

Bringing in the catchAlthough I like this image my only critique would be the boat is off center and going out of the picture...I think it would look more pleasing if it had been captured with the boat to the left, giving it a space to go into Smile
