Another taken on my college trip to Bournemouth and surrounding area. It was a good chance to have a play with my filters.

I tried to give this a little more impact by increasing the contrast of the quayside and bollard only. This separates the f/g from the b/g a little to give the illusion of a more 3D image. It's only a small effect but hopefully enough to help.
I increased the colour saturation and using the different colour sliders, was able to focus on the colours individually. I think you must have used Cokin filters as there is a tell tale magenta colour cast in the sky. I used a separate hue/saturation layer to desaturate the magenta colour and make the sky a more natural colour.
I cloned out the small lens flare near the bottom of the photo and finally sharpened selectively.
I think your photo certainly needed the bollard to have more contrast as it is a focal point in the composition. I like the puddle reflecting the sky as this gives the image more depth and I like the sun in the photo too.
