Nice candid portrait
Works well in mono
I really like this. It reminds me very much of the type of feeling I get from viewing work by Julia Margaret Cameron.
Beautiful light - is it from a single natural light source?
Bought tears to my eyes. I really like it Bridget
Taken with natural light from the window to the right of the frame.
Taken at 1/125 at f 2.8 with iso 400.
Great shot love the natural lighting.
Such a great mono, full of character and worthy of the HC. My only comment is the focus looks to be on your husbands eyebrow and not the eye. I know its difficult as the camera focus points look for contrast, sometimes its worth switching to manual to fin tune. But super image
Oh and great link Pete just Googled Julias work
Like it very much! It's only window light, right?
Cracking portrait lots of fine detail and a great B&W conversion
I don't usually comment on portraits ('cos I don't really know what I'm talking about) but this just caught my eye.
I love the way you've used the light and how you've filled the frame.
I think it's a superb shot. It's certainly given me food for thought.
