Just the river, myself and the viewer 'passing through' a scene that was old when the first people marvelled at its beauty. Long may it endure.
Ok that's me done being philosophical. Thanks for the great response to 'The Waiting game'. Although Stob a Chlais Choire is the central mountain in this view the mountain to the left, Meall a Bhuiridhe is actually higher at 1108m. On the rhs is Beinn Mhic Casgaig which is a mere 864m Grin Having finally found the light I dashed up, down and across the river to get as many different shots as I could. However, even had I come home empty handed I would still want to return. The water was crystal clear with beautiful greens, blues and reds shimmering beneath the waters while the morning light gave the moorland and mountain slopes a wonderful russet hue.
Thanks for looking.
Regards
Alun

Fortune favours the brave and the early riser, a fantastic use of the early morning light here, lighting from the east on Creise is unusual and welcome. The slow exposure adds so much to an already beautiful view down into Glen Etive.

Thanks David, Scott and Derek. As we all know it's about being in the right place at the right time, then it just comes down to personal preference and technical stuff. You're right. derek. The light was sublime.

Another great image Alun. Think I still, just about, prefer the other one as it has some more dramatic diagonals in it and, consequently, more depth. Both are images to be proud of. Some lovely light.

I understand your philosophical tendencies here. I have been next to a delicate stream in rarefied air on a high plateau here in BC Canada and the purity of the p[lace is magical.

Mountain photography can be most difficult. You have slayed the scene brilliantly. Well done. TG

Many thanks Sanjeev and Paul,
Dave, I agree. The other has an easier comp whereas this one is more in your face and breaks a few rules.
Tony - there's nothing better than the sound of running, crystal clear water when nature puts on her finery Smile
