Thanks a lot to you all. The beauty of this quickfire malarky is that you get plenty of poses to chose from. The focus lock on the 5DMkII with 100-400 can be a bit hit or miss but id does the job.

You might have been lucky with the light but t takes talent and skill to catch this kind of action. Perfect flight action with the trim tail feathers and the Kite actually looking towards the camera.

Many thanks. I'm nowhere near being a wildlife togger but these magnificent fliers always fascinate me. I can remember being incrediblt excited to see one as a young man of 18. 32 years later and they are around in their hundreds - an incredible success story.
