Another image Ive worked with HDR on and then tone mapped. Im impressed it brought out detail in the grass that otherwise I would never managed to get working.

The colors where amazing that night.. and I got some nice shots. This was a long exposure also, it was near pitch dark with just a hint of light to my eyes.

All the Best, Tommy

I know nothing about HDR or tone mapping, Tommy, but I do know something....this is stunning. It may be my age, but I have to look at reflections like this for ages before my eye tells my brain what it's all about. In this one, the grass bank helps !!

Thanks peeps,

Dave, I used one raw image with this, so its not "real HDR" but then changed the EV to -2, -1, 0, +1, +2 and worked it as HDR and tone mapped.

Also did some other tweeks in PS Wink but more to refine the image than major addition to it.

Nowdays though, Im bracketing 5 shots 1 ev and even 7, so I can try it with real HDR and reduce the noise it drags into the shots. Killer on the memory but lets me do other things as well.

you're getting rather good at these Tommy, I can't think of anyone else who can do this as well as you on landscape shots.

Great sky and reflections Tommy. Whatever you are doing (I've seen todays forum threads) looks to me to have worked well on this (and yesterdays upload).

I'm the same as Pam. Never tried HDR or tone mapping. Regardless of all that, this is a sensational image.

I'm still not 100% happy with the results but getting closer. Im trying for impact but keeping it realistic. Appreciate all your feedback and Im happy it seems to go over well.

Nigel, I think I will spend time doing my photos and working on them, HDR/Tone mapped or what ever and avoid the great debate Smile In the end Im happy to see other peoples work and learn as I go along.

All the Best, Tommy
