This is a photo of one of the Torjans, not sure the player, they play in Port Glasgow in the West Coast of Scotland.
Was at the game on Sunday and got some nice shots. This was one of my favs from that day. This guy was running fast through a busy field of players. Not easy at times to get a solo picture of them in game.
Hope you enjoy.

Very good action shot Thomas, as you say its not easy to pick one player out but you've done it here. good focus and colour too, well taken Adrian
excellent shot i can imagine that getting the eyes to show under the helmet being tricky well done.
Steve
Just getting them actualy in the picture at times with the ball is hard enough. The games all about trickey in a lot of ways.. hard to follow the play and also to be in the right place to get a picture. I know a few pros and they consider it a chalange to take photos of...

Hi again Thomas, my son played American football here in Shetland for a season and I learned there was another meaning to "hail Mary" (long forward pass)Adrian
Sure is... Send all your wide recivers up and throw that ball up there hoping they get it lol. This guys a running back, he basicaly gets the ball and runs from behind. He had just winded through about 10 people and got tackled just short of a touchdown.
I honestly can rattle 400 photos a game off and perhaps get 5 clear shots of players. Its just so tricky and you got to be allways ready to run at a seconds notice lol. I was nearly hit once in that game. I seen the play comming at me, rattle my shots and ran out the way. Then two playes came flying through the very spot I was on about 2 seconds before
I have only been hit once and lucky for me it was only my pride hurt... and my monopod lol, still got a bash in it ![]()
