We had a long day yesterday at the Great Dorset Steam Rally, where wellingtons were the dress of the day!
After a very early start we arrived at Dorset in the dry but no engines were moving in the "playpen" as they had had considerable rain. However everyone was enjoying all the wonderful exhibits: the World War I display is fantastic and well worth a visit. Then after a dry morning a few engines ventured out and took turns taking visitors for a ride around the playpen (men and their toys!! - although us ladies love them too) and by late afternoon the ground was drying up and looked very favourable for the rest of the rally which is on until Sunday evening. In this shot they are "double-heading" as both engines were taking the visitors; perhaps to avoid getting stuck in the mud at the bottom end.
V2 is why you need wellies!
Glad you liked the pre-rally image and thanks for the C&Cs.
