This image was taken at Kwantu game reserve, when I had been to south africa in november 2012 to witness the big five. The couple was found basking in the early morning sun.

Well timed shot but for me the colours are little dull - needs some saturation.

Very impressive at first site. Unfortunately, even at this size, it needs to be rather sharper. I realise the difficulties of distance, support and so on, but I think the grass is sharper this side of the lioness than on the lions face so I suspect a focusing error. You may recover a bit with the sharpness tools, but, if time allows, manual focusing is often best with wildlife, or, at least the use of focus lock.

thanks for all the constructive comments. YEs Hermanus sir, I was in SA for 15 days as a tourist. I visited suncity, jo-berg, cape town, knysna, outshroon, congo caves and kwantu. SA is really wild in respects. I enjoyed every moment of my stay there. I was very much impressed by the wealth of wildlife. I would like to visit every year. thanku
