This is stunning. The expression on the girl's face is delightful, and the post production is excellent. The framing, including the bold use of plenty of black space, really sets this off extremely well. A great shot, which deserves to be added to your collection of ECs. Click.

hello- please could I ask how you get the black background without losing detail from the model? are you using film or digital?
Just love the proportions of space/figure
regards
connie
P.S.
forgot to ask-do you print and if so is the quality as good as the online image? If it is what printer would you recommend please?
connie (so many questions and so litle time!)
Hi Connie, I just use a black sheet about a metre behind the model and a flash head facing a brolly which gives you a less harsh light.
I only use digital, its my first ever camera.
Yes I do print, and the quality of the print is far better than the image onscreen and the picture you see is much smaller and compressed for this site, than the one I would print.
I personaly use an Canon i9100, there are better printers like the epson 2100 and probally loads more but it was a balance against cost of printer and ink and quality, I am more than happy with the results, hope that answers your questions![]()
dear ukuwi, re your reply:
many thanks, Ionly take "accidental" snaps and then play in PS but will certainly give this a try!!
cheers
connie
Ah, thats lovely. Really like the composition, like she's looking out of a window.

I like this one the best out of the series Tony. Her expression makes it. I'm looking forward to the time when Mel and me have a Mini-me or two so we can exploit them as models too, when they are not sweeping chimneys that is ;o)
I noticed that you asked a question in January on my pic of my Mum. Sorry I didn't answer it (I hate when people don't answer mine) but I seemed to have stopped getting notifications on that pic.
My Mum loves that pic and she was really chuffed when it won a EC. I printed her out all the pages of comments so she could show her mates and brag how she was an award winning model.
